Case Study 1 — Guiding a Student to a Top Global University
Challenge:
A high-achieving high school student from the UAE dreamed of studying Environmental Engineering at a leading European university. Despite strong grades and extracurricular involvement in environmental clubs, she lacked clarity on which universities aligned best with her career ambitions. She was also unsure about which entrance exams were required, how to secure scholarships, and how to differentiate herself from other international applicants.
Agora’s Role:
We began with a comprehensive academic profile review that included evaluating her GPA, test scores, extracurricular activities, and personal interests. Based on her strengths and aspirations, we shortlisted universities with strong environmental engineering programs, high employability rates, and active research in sustainability. We provided targeted SAT and IELTS preparation, ensuring she met or exceeded admission requirements. Our admissions specialists worked with her to craft a personal statement that told her story — from her early passion for environmental advocacy to her vision for renewable energy innovation. We also identified and guided her through competitive scholarship applications.
Outcome:
She was accepted into Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) with a partial merit scholarship, placing her in one of Europe’s top engineering faculties. Today, she is interning with a renewable energy firm in the Netherlands, gaining practical experience that directly complements her academic training.
